Hi friend,
If you are feeling the call to reconnect to your body and to the wider world, this guided embodiment practice focuses on enlivening and waking up the social engagement system.
This is the part of our autonomic nervous system that helps us gently recalibrate, settle, and connect with others in ways that feel grounded, anchored, open, and safe.
This practice begins with a gentle arrival and then moves into self-touch around the face and head region.
This part of the body is directly connected to the social engagement system, and so by using the warmth of our hands to move and connect with the face, we prime the whole body to feel more and more ready to reach out and expand into the fullness of who we are and into the wider world.
I know what it’s like to be walking the recovery road when sometimes being present in the body can be challenging. Part of healing is learning how to acknowledge and accept the skin we are in.
As such, this guided embodiment practice is an offering that invites connection to the body through self-touch of the head and face area.

You are guided every step of the way. Please go at your own pace, take pauses as you need, and listen to your body’s capacity. This practice is best done sitting or lying down comfortably.
You can listen to this guided practice at any time of day when you need to realign back to center, to soothe or to invigorate the senses. You can also use it part of your microdosing or psychedelic journey, preparation or integration.
